What happens at the survey and on installation day?
A Crittall-style screen goes from enquiry to fitted in four stages: a free survey and measure, drawings and a fixed written quote, manufacture in roughly 4 to 6 weeks, and installation, which for most single screens takes one day.

What happens at the survey?
We measure the opening, check the floor level, walls and fixings, talk through the bar pattern, glass and finish, and note anything that affects installation such as access and parking. If the opening is not yet formed, we can survey from plans and re-measure once it is.
What do the drawings show?
Each screen is drawn to scale with the bar layout, door positions, glass type and finish. Nothing is ordered until you sign the drawings off.
How should I prepare the opening?
Walls, ceiling and floor should be finished, or at least at final level, with plastering done and dry. Remove furniture near the opening and clear a route for the frames.
What happens on fitting day?
The team protects floors, fixes the frame, glazes it, fits and adjusts any doors, seals the edges and tidies up. Decorating around the frame is usually done by you or your decorator afterwards.
How long does it all take?
Typically 5 to 8 weeks from survey to installation, depending on material and the time taken to agree drawings.
