Slimline Minimal Crittall-Style Screens
A slimline minimal screen uses as few glazing bars as possible, often just tall vertical panes, so the frame almost disappears. It suits modern interiors where the light matters more than the pattern.
Suits: Contemporary houses, new builds, extensions and offices

Getting the slimline minimal look right
Fewer bars means larger panes of glass, so the glass gets thicker and heavier as panes grow. Solid steel gives the finest sightlines here; aluminium is a few millimetres deeper.
A single horizontal bar at door-head height ties a minimal screen to the rest of the room without breaking up the view.

Questions about this style
How large can a single pane be?
Internal panes up to around 1.2m wide by 2.5m tall are practical. Larger panes need thicker glass and more careful handling on site.
Is minimal cheaper than a grid?
Slightly, as there are fewer bars to make and fit.
