Reeded Glass Crittall-Style Screens
Reeded or fluted glass has fine vertical ribs pressed into it, which blur the view while letting light through. In a Crittall-style screen it gives privacy for bathrooms, utility rooms and offices without losing daylight.
Suits: Bathrooms, en-suites, utility rooms, home offices and bedrooms

Getting the reeded and fluted glass look right
Reeded glass comes in different rib widths. Narrow reeds give a soft, even blur; wider flutes give a bolder pattern and a more vintage look. The ribs usually run vertically, which suits the upright proportions of most screens.
You can mix clear and reeded panes in one screen, for example reeded at eye level and clear above, so the room still feels open.

Questions about this style
How private is reeded glass?
You can see shapes and movement but not detail. For full privacy, choose a deeper reed or a satin glass instead.
Is reeded glass toughened?
Yes. We supply it toughened or laminated so it meets safety glazing rules like any other pane.
